Terms & Conditions

Discoverchinatours.com provides its service to you, subject to the following Terms and Condition. Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before using this site. Your use of this site is expressly conditioned on your acceptance of the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Reservation:

Make a reservation:
When making a reservation for your selected tour package, simply follow the " book it / " link, fill out a form properly and submit. Your tour request will be replied to with details by our experienced travel agent in no less than 24 hours.

Quotation & Confirmation:
Our travel agent will quote you with a tour itinerary, but this is not the final confirmation of your China tour. After you confirm the proposal with paying the deposit, our travel agent will make the booking for you. Once all of your bookings are confirmed, you will receive a formal confirmation letter from Discoverchinatours.com.

Deposit:
30-50% of total cost as the deposit is required at the time of confirmation of the reservation.

Balance:
Balance of the total tour fare is due 15 days prior to the departure date. If your payment is not received by the due date, the reservation will be subject to cancellation without notice. If a booking is made within 15 days of the departure date, full payments are due once you confirm the tour.
Rush Fee: Reservations made less than two weeks prior to departure will incur a Rush Fee of USD50.

Change Fee:
Changes made after reservations are confirmed will incur a Change Fee of USD50+ whatever other airline / hotel / cruise line penalties apply.

* note: if you choose to pay via Paypal, you need to pay an extra 4%. of the total cost.

- Call your banks or go to your bank. Don't forget to write your tour code and your travel agent names on the transfer sheet.
- Please inform us by fax of the copy of invoice at +86 773 5858106 or by e-mail (fax is much better) that you have finished sending the money to our account.
- Wiring transfers from other countries to China generally takes more than 1 week. Once we get the payment, discoverchinatours.com will inform you by sending an invoice.

Western Union Money Transfer
You can check if there is a Western Union(The bank specially provide money transfer servies)office near by. If so please go to the Western Union Money Transfer to transfer the money as the following step:

- Tell the Western Union staff that you want to transfer money to the Peoples Republic of China, the money receiver name is Tan Qiu Xin (the money benifiting person).

- Ask the Western Union staff give you the Money Transfer Control Number after your remitance is made.

- Advise us the Money Transfer Control Number for this remitance and the name of the person who made the payment( remitance).

Credit card:
We also accept Visa and Master card, but not personal checks.

[Important Note] We have paid the 3% processing fee to Bank of China in our side. However, please note that your credit card issuing bank may probably charge you a 2-3% fee for foreign currency exchange.

3. Cancellation Policy

All cancellation requests must be done through fax or mail. Phone calls /verbal cancellations are not accepted.
The following cancellation fees will be charged per person accordingly when you cancel your reservation:

If cancellation is made: Cancellation fees will be:

Up to 30 days prior to departure

USD50

30 to 7 days prior to departure:

USD80

6 to 3 days prior to departure:

50% of the full payment

2 days within departure date or no show:

100% of the full payment

No refund of Yangtze cruise booking will be made if the cancellation notice is received less than 30 days prior to departure date of cruise.

4. Changes of itinerary:

For any changes you make to your reservation within 30 days before departure that affect destination, departure date, tour extension and /or guest names, a USD25 per person charge is requested, in addition to any other fees imposed by airlines, hotels, cruise.
Discoverchinatours.com reserves the right to modify the itinerary of the tour if flight schedule or any events beyond our control make such alterations necessary. If the confirmed tour has to be changed only due to the guest's own wishes during the tour, the guest is required to pay for the corresponding additional cost.

5. Tour price:

All the tour prices are in Chinese Yuan. Please click here to get the price in US dollar or EUR.

Price includes:
The quotation includes domestic flights, hotels, meals, city transportation, sightseeing, tour guide service, travel agent arrangement service charge and handling of one piece of luggage weighing no more than 20kg.( 44 IBS), according to the following:

  • Economy-class air fare of the domestic flight or soft sleeper/seats train tickets between cities as mentioned in the itinerary.
  • Hotel accommodation is based on 2 persons sharing one standard twin bed room. If one guest requests a single twin room, the single room supplement will be charged.
  • All the meals mentioned in the itinerary. "B" for American breakfast. It will be Chinese breakfast instead when hotels have no American breakfast. "L" for Chinese lunch and "D" for dinner are offered at the restaurants outside hotels.
  • Private city transfers between airport or railway stations and hotel and the scenic spots. Separate arrivals and departures will incur extra charges. Special notes: Seat-in-coach tour is different from normal tour package. All the city transfers are air-conditioned vehicles with and experienced driver.
  • Local private English-speaking guide will accompany you in each city during your sightseeing, but not travel with you from one city to another city. He/she will see you off at airport when you leave each city. You will also be met by another new local guide at the airport or railway station once you arrival in a new city.
  • Travel Agencies' Liability Insurance with the tour inside China. It is not the accidental travel insurance, we highly recommend you purchase a comprehensive travel insurance plan in your country to protect you and your travel investment.
  • If your tour includes a Yangtze cruise, the price quoted includes standard cabin accommodations (based on 2 persons sharing one standard twin cabin), all the meals on the boat, as well as the land-excursion. All the land excursions are in groups escorted by ship guide; no private tours. The private guide will not accompany you on the cruise.
  • If your tour includes Tibet, the Tibet travel permit application fee will be included.
  • The price also includes Chinese government taxes and the city construction fees.

    Price excludes:
    The quotation excludes the following services:

  • International airfare or domestic/train charge of arrival and departure.
  • Passport & visa fees
  • Travel insurance
  • Airport construction fee RMB50 (USD6) for the domestic flights and RMB90 (USD11) for the departure international flights, as well as the flight departure to Hong Kong and Macau.
  • Meals & service & meals not mentioned in the itinerary.
  • Gratuities or personal expenses such as excess luggage fees, laundry, postage, communications and beverages.
