It is the residence of Dufu, the greatest poets in China´s history. He lived during the Tang Dynasty. The the Cottage now is a lovely park. It was once the highest structure in Chengdu.Uniquely designed, the upper two stories of the tower are octagonal in shape while the lower two, square. In its surrounding areas are other ancient buildings and stretches of bamboo.

Program: Wolong Giant Panda Nature Reserve, Hero´s Valley

The Wolong Giant Panda Nature Reserve, located in Wenchuan County of Aba Prefecture, Sichuan province, with an area of 2,000 sq. km, is the first and largest nature reserve concentrating in the conservation of giant pandas and alpine forest eco-system in China. In 1980 the Wolong Nature Reserve was listed in Man and Biosphere Reserve Network of UNESCO. In the same year, the China Giant Panda Conservation and Research Center was founded in cooperation with WWF. Now Wolong Nature Reserve has become the most important core area of Sichuan Giant Panda Sanctuaries. Wolong Nature Reserve is an area with most densely distributed giant pandas, and complete primeval habitats of giant pandas. There are 143 survived wild giant pandas taking about 10% of the total population over the world. The reserve has 121 captive-bred giant pandas in its Giant Panda Research Center, which has been recognized worldwide as a largest panda´s breeding base with the highest research level and the most active panda population. That is why Wolong has won the titles of "the Hometown of the Giant Pandas" and "the Kingdom of the Giant Pandas". Tourist may trace wild giant pandas and observe habitats environment and living behavior of giant pandas in Giant Panda Valley of Wolong.

Tourist may also investigate wild fauna and flora accompanying giant pandas in Zhenghe Valley - Yinlong Gorge. Tourist can experience the unique culture and local customs of Tibetan and Qiang ethnic groups at Gengda Town. Those tourists who travel to Wolong may enjoy the life of indigenous population at so-called "Giant Pandas Tribe", Xingfu Valley, an International Eco-educational Base for Juvenile and Giant Panda Breeding Center. At Balang Mountain - the peak of "the Kingdom of the Giant Pandas" tourists can view the panorama of Wolong, watch sunrise, sea of clouds, snow-capped mountain, meadow, etc. At so-called Wolong Villa, giant panda - related scientific investigators and tourists can have a chance to experience the simple life of indigenous people. Densheng Valley is a good place for watching alpine ecology and vertical distribution landscape and undertaking modern field sports and eco-tourism, etc.
