Day 1 Kunming - Arrival (-/-/-)

Upon arrival in Kunming, you will be met by your local guide and escorted to the hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of day. Overnight at Kunming Hotel.

Day 2 Kunming (B/L/-)

Program: The Jinma-Biji (Golden Horse-Green Rooster) Archway, Flower and Bird Market, Green Lake Park, Yunnan Military Lecture Room for Ground Force

After breakfast in hotel, start your biking tour from The Jinma-Biji (Golden Horse-Green Rooster) Archway. This is a traditional piece of architecture. The emblem of the city of Kunming is composed of a golden horse and a green rooster. It was designed according to a popular legend about Dianchi Lake. Nearby Jinma Biji Square is the symbol of Kunming Dongsi & Xisi Temple. And the best place for leisure and entertainment.

After 20min later, you will arrive at the Flower and Bird Market.

The Flower and Bird Market: it is a popular trading place for antiques. Curios, coins, jade articles, jewelry, ink stones, porcelains, potteries, stone carvings, and marble products are among the arts and crafts to be found there. It is a treasure trove for souvenirs. Later continue to Green Lake Park (Cuihu Gongyuan) Green Lake Park: it is one of the most picturesque parks in downtown Kunming. In November and December every winter, huge flocks of red-beaked gulls migrate here from Siberia. Around the park, there are also many excellent bars and restaurants. Since the park is the only one that stays open until 10PM, it is an ideal place for enjoying some Kunming nightlife. Of course, at any other time, the park is always worth a stroll.

Make a stop at Yunnan Military Lecture Room for Ground Force.

Yunnan Military Lecture Room for Ground Force: it is established in 1909, is a famous military academy in modern history of China. It once trained two marshals and hundreds of generals, and with a glorious history in modern history of China, it was called "Furnace of Chinese Revolution" by Zhude (a famous marshal in Chinese history). It has been listed as one of major sites to be protected at the national level.

After having lunch at the local restaurant near the Green Lake Park, we will transfer to visit Bamboo Temple by car.

The Bamboo Temple: it is on the beautiful wooded Yu´an Mountain, only twelve kilometers (seven miles) northwest of Kunming, is the famous Buddhist Qiongzhu Temple. The temple and the bamboo forest that surround it have a wonderful and mysterious legend about their origins. The temple´s most outstanding artistic (and perhaps spiritual) feature is the distinguished, finely crafted statues of the 500 Luohans (Buddhist Arhats, or "enlightened ones") sculpted by the brilliant artist, Li Guangxiu.

Drive back to the hotel. Free at leisure for the rest time of the day. Lunch at Chinese restaurant around Green Lake. Dinner on your own account Overnight at Kunming Hotel

Day 3 Kunming/Dali (B/L/D)

Program: Xizhou, Zhoucheng, Three Pagodas Have breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport for a morning flight to Dali (the flight number is to be advised).

Upon arrival, drive to Xizhou (Located 18 kilometers north of Dali, faces Erhai on the east. It grew and flourished in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) along with the fortunes of Dali renowned tea merchants that traded to Tibet. It is not only a historically famous city but also a typical commercial center of Bai Ethnic Nationality. It is now a must for the travelers. You can enjoy lovely ethical clothes, fairylike programs, decorative architectures, gifted garden parties and wonderful handicrafts there.) Stroll in the local Market of Xizhou, and then go to east part of the town where you can see a lot of old houses and courtyard famous for the architecture of its residences. Finally step out the tow from the east gate.

Transfer to Zhoucheng, where you will visit its local temple and a tie-dye processing factory. According to a public survey, "if you have 101 things to do in Dali, what´s the most important of all?" 100 percent answered "to visit Zhoucheng and Xizhou." Surely, it´s a "must" for the travelers. Because you can enjoy lovely ethical clothes, fairylike programs, decorative architectures, gifted garden parties and wonderful handicrafts in here. Later enjoy the tour of the Three Pagodas Three Pagodas: they are located at the foot of Yingle Peak of Cangshan Mountain at the northwest suburb of Dali Ancient City. In the time of Nanzhao and Dali Kingdoms, Chongshengsi was the largest monastery in this area and the Three Pagodas were only a part of it. Now, the monastery has long disappeared and only the Three Pagodas remain.

Lunch enjoy the vegetable food at Xiruyuan restaurant. Dinner at local Chinese restaurant. Overnight at Landscape hotel.

Day 4 Dali (B/L/D)

Program: Shangguan, Shuanglang, Jianwei, Dali Old Town

Have breakfast at hotel. In the morning, drive to Shangguan. Later, take a private boat across Er Hai Lake to Shuanglang. Then visitors can ride bikes to Jianwei (12 km), the tourist vehicle will wait for visitors half way between Shuanglang and Jianwei (6km) to collect any one that might be tired. During the biking, you can stop at local market.

In the afternoon, tour of Dali Old Town.

Dali Old Town: it is located at the foot of the Cangshan Mountain and the west side of the Erhai Lake, Dali old town was set up in 1382 A.D during the Ming Dynasty as the capital of the Dali kingdom. At present, only the south and north gate towers remain standing. There are well-preserved traditional houses of the Bai Ethnic Group people. Walking in the city, you will enjoy many historical relics, ancient buildings and rich minority customs, such as the "Foreigners Street", the ancient Yuxi School, tea houses, antique shops, and Chinese and Western restaurants.

Picnic lunch and dinner at restaurant in Dali Old Town. Overnight at Landscape hotel.

Day 5 Dali-Lijiang (B/L/D)

Program: Joseph Rock's Old house, Shuhe Old Town

Have breakfast at hotel. In the morning, transfer to Lijaing by newroad. (3 h). Upon arrival, transfer to visit Joseph Rock's Old house.

Joseph Rock's Old house: the house is located in Yuhu--a small Naxi village about 10km north of Lijiang. It is a pretty farming village, quite isolated-and hence perfect for the quiet scholarship that Rock practised. ). Later stop at Shuhe Old Town. Shuhe Old Town: it is 4 km northwest from Lijiang City. It is an ancient trade post for tea caravans between China and the Red Sea, is set to regain its past prosperity with the launch of a new protection program. This village is the former city center of LiJiang and has a history of more than 1000 years.

Lunch at local Chinese restaurant and dinner at restaurant in Shuhe . Overnight at Lijiang Jian Nan Chun Hotel

Day 6 Lijiang/Lashihai/Lijiang (B/L/-)

Program: Lhashihai, Zhiyun temple.

Have breakfast at hotel. Drive to Lhashihai( 25m). Upon arrival, have the biking tour around this beautiful lake. The tour will bring you into the local countryside life as we meander through some Nanxi and Yi minority Village. Stop at Zhiyun temple. Zhiyun temple: This lamasery is situated in the west of Lashi Basin. It was built in 1727 and was made up of thirteen different structures. However during the Cultural Revolution many structures were badly destroyed with only six structures remaining intact.

Then transfer back to Lijiang, continue to visit Black Dragon Pool, Lijiang Old Town

The Black Dragon Pool: it is located at the foot of the Xiangshan Mountain (Elephant Hill) north of the city of Lijiang. As the water here is a lucid green color, it gained another name Jade Spring Park (Yuquan Park). There are many distinctive and ravishing sites in the park. Hiding in the lush trees or standing along the liquid pool is the antique and exquisite architectural pieces, which are in the style of Naxi.

Stroll in Lijiang Old Town: The Old Town of Lijiang, a well-preserved old city of ethnic minorities with brilliant culture. Located on the plateau which is 2,400 meters above the sea level and embraced by the tree-covered Lion Mountain in the west, Elephant and Golden Row Mountains in the north, vast fertile fields in the southeast and crystal clear water running through, the old town looks like a big jade ink slab, therefore got the alias the Town of Big Ink Slab. Lijiang was placed on the world cultural heritage list in 1997.). You can enjoy a cap of tea at the nice, small bar in Old Town to enjoy the rest time of the day.

Picnic lunch and dinner on your own account. Overnight at Lijiang Jian Nan Chun Hotel.

Day 7 Lijiang--Kunming (B/-/-)

Program: Departure Have breakfast at hotel. Take the morning flight back to Kunming (the flight number is to be advised), upon arrival, take the connection flight to your next destination.
