Beijing

Guilin
1.Xing’an Rice Noodles Festival
Rice noodle is a popular feature food in Guilin, and Xing’an County is the original place of rice noodles. There are many kinds of rice noodle; each one has its special taste. Recent years, Xing’an held the Rice Noodles Festival to expanding its tourism market.

2. Gongcheng County Peach Blossom Festival
Every March, there is a charming festival held in Yao Minority County, the Peach Blossom Festival. It is so attractive because that in China Peach Blossom means love; you may find your Mr. or Miss. Right there.
Starting from 2005, this festival features with graceful dancing, tasty green food and beautiful countryside scenery.

3.Guilin International Tourism Festival
Every November, Guilin government held the Guilin International Tourism Festival to promote Guilin tourism brand, and expanding its market.
During the festival, a lot of activities such as ceremony, exposition conference, trade conference are held to introduce Guilin tourism resource and Minority folk custom.

5.March Third Festival (Zhuang Minority Folk Song Festival)
Every March 3rd lunar calendar, it is the Zhuang Minority Folk Song Festival. It is a great chance to experience the Zhuang Minority custom. Usually, the girls and boys are trying to find their lovers by singing songs. They also send each other presents.

Shanghai
1. 13th Shanghai International Film Festival 2010.6.12-20
Originated in 1993, Shanghai International Film Festival is hosted by the State Administration of Radio, Film & Television and Shanghai Municipal Government; and organized by Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture, Radio, Film & TV and Shanghai Media & Entertainment Group. Upon successful organization of the first two editions, the festival was soon accredited by FIAPF as one of the competitive feature film festivals.

With successful 11 editions in the past 16 years and backed up by fast growing Chinese movies and a globalize film industry worldwide in general, Shanghai International Film Festival has consolidated on its own developing strategy, focusing on a clear and integral structure of the four major sections - Film Competitions, SIFF Mart, Film Forum and International Panorama. 

2. Shanghai International Arts Festival
The 11th Shanghai International Arts Festival (opened on 17th Oct 2009)
Original from 1998, the Shanghai International Arts Festival hold September annually.

3. Shanghai Tourism Festival (September)
Positioned as the people’s festival, taking the “Entering the happiness and pleasure “as subject, Shanghai Tourism Festival has progressed for 16 years successfully since 1990 when it first held.

Incorporating tourism products including sightseeing, leisure, entertainment, culture, sports, exposition, and food and shopping, the festival also presents more than a hundred activities showcasing the metropolitan outlook, culture and commerce of Shanghai.

Some of highlights are float pageant, carnival, Shanghai International firework festival, Image Ambassador competition, rose wedding ceremony , to name but a few.
