Day 1: Be met at Lhasa Airport or Train Station, and transferred to your hotel in Lhasa. Acclimatize the high altitude

Program:

Arrive by flight or train to Lhasa. Upon arrival in the Lhasa Gongar airport or the Lhasa train station, you will be met by your tour guide and driven to Lhasa downtown. have a rest in Lhasa to acclimatize the high altitude.

Day 2: Lhasa highlight tour to Potala Palace, Jokhang Monastery and Barkhor Street.

Program:

In the morning, you will go to the most splendid museum, the Potala Palace, and explore the grandest of its myriad chapals. see the jeweled burial chorten of past Dalai Lamas as well as statuary,frescoes and paintings.
Later visit the Jokhang Temple, which is considered as the most sacred temple in Tibet, it draws tremendous number of pilgrims from all over Tibet each year for it houses a magnificent image of Sakyamuni at 12 years old.
Then stroll around Barkhor, a pilgrimage circuit that encircles the Jokhang, it also serves as the biggest bazaar in Lhasa, where you can find some handicrafts, ambers, jewery,tibetan clothes,ect.

Day 3: Today we will discover more culture about Lhasa by visiting Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery.

Program:

Today, you will explore Tibet's two greatest monasteries, Drepung and Sera. which once housed about 10,000 monks. Drepung monastery is situated at the foothill of a mountain and was founded by Jamyang Choeje in 1416. the monastery is divided into two different colleges that is Drepung loselling and Drepung Gomang college. In the afternoon exploring the Sera monastery which was founded in 1419 by Tsongkapa's disciple Jamchen Choeje. The whole monastery is divided into two colleges and there are Sera 'jhe' and Sera 'may' respectively.

Day 4: In the morning, drive from Lhasa to Ganden Monastery and visit around. In the afternoon, star our trekking from Ganden, via Hepu village to Yama Do.

Program:

In the morning, you will be drived from Lhasa to Ganden (60 km, about 1 hour 45 minutes driving). And then, visit Ganden Monastery and other attractions around. Then start trekking, our first day of trekking begins at the highest point on the Ganden Kora. from here we walk along a saddle trail. After leaving this trail with wondrous views we traverse the west side of the ridge before passing through an ancient Hepu village. Later in the day we pass through Ani Pagong, a narrow bottleneck in the trail and former site of a nunnery. We will end the day with an ascent towards Yama Do, where we will set up camp.

Day 5: Star today's trekking from Yama Do, climb over Shug La Pass and Tsotup Chu, arrive Tsotup Chu Valley.

Program:

In the morning we leave the valley floor and make our way through a steep gully rising form the stream bank. Finally, we climb over the Shug La and begin our climb down through treacherous boulder fields. Later, we cross Tsotup Chu, a large stream winding through the valley floor. A comfortable camp will be set up in one of the many herder fields.

Day 6: Our 3rd day trekking star from Tsotup Chu Valley, climb over Chitu La Pass and camp on a beautiful field.

Program:

Today we follow the Tsotup Chu down through its tributary and head towards the Chitu La pass. After ascending this rocky pass we will quickly descend down and find a beautiful place to camp in one of the fields surrounding the stream. To find our campsite we will meander through quiet herder camps for nearly an hour. Another beautiful day of our trek is over.

Day 7: Trekking throught beautiful streams and lush forests arrive Changtang village, then we could choose to visit Yamalung Hermitage, camp in Samye valley.

Program:

The trail gets wider and easier as we follow it through scrub forests in the main valley. Beautiful streams and lush forests surround us as we walk. However, the desert is close by. The next few hours are arguably the most beautiful part of our trek. More than 15 types of scrub trees, blooming rhododendrons, and vast meadow will amaze you every step of the way! After passing through this wondrous landscape we will trek pass the Changtang village. Less than an hour away participants can choose to make the one-hour hike to the Yamalung Hermitage. Yamalung is an ancient and holy Buddhist meditation site, but is completely up to you whether you want to go. Later in the day we join the Samye valley along the babbling tributary stream. The night will be spent at another comfortable campsite, not far from Samye.

Day 8: Today we will keep on trekking to Samye Town and visit famous Samye Monastery.

Program:

Trekking from the valley to Samye Town and visit Samye Monastery.
The Samye Monastery is the first temple to be built in Tibet and the first complete with the three Buddhist jewels of Buddha, Dharma and Sangha. With these unique features, this splendid temple has become an attraction for visitors from near and far. After visiting Samye, we finish the trek  and drive to Tsedang in the evening.

Day 9: Today we will visit Thangdok Monastery and Yumbulakhang, after the program, we will drive back to Lhasa.

Program:

Visit Yumbulalang palace which is the oldest-known dwelling palace in Tibet, it is dedicated to the early Tibetan kings: Nyatri Tsenpo.  And then visit Changchuk temple which was one of the first built monasteries during Tibetan Empire (618-842 AD) and its treasure is a Thangka made by 29,026 pearls and other gemstone. Farewell to local people, be driven to Lhasa.

Day 10: Be transferred to Lhasa Airport or Train Station before 12:00 am for your next destination. End of Service.

** In all trekking prigram, the altitude is over 4500 m; the higest point in the program is Shug La Puerto, its altitude is over 5200 m.
** We arrange two bos grunniens for one visitor. One for luggage carrying, the other for our guests who have altitude stress during the trekking.
** Except basic camping equipment, we suggest you to take:
(1) "Dry-easy" and thermal clothing is a must.
(2) Take at least two more pairs of socks, because we should cross some small rivers during the trekking.
(3) Your down-filled sleeping bag should be with at least 800 g + down feather. Sometime, the temperature will go down to -10 ℃.
(4) Sun Glasses and sunblock.
(5) Slip-froof glove.
(6) Alpenstock (twin).
(7) Kneecap.
(8) Thermos (you need hot water in cold area).
(9) Drugs for prevention and control altitude sickness.
(10)Some snacks such as candies, chocolate and Snickers, ect. You could eat and share with local children on your way. Further more, take some vitamin tablets, because no vegetables and fruits during the trekking.
** About your physical condition, please ask your doctor before you choose this program.
** We do not serve the guest with the following condition take this program:
(1) Hypertensive age over 50.
(2) Patient with coronary heart disease.
(3) Diabetic.
(4) Moderate or more patients with chronic lung disease.
(5) Patient with bronchial asthma.
(6) Patient with pulmonary hypertension.
(7) Patient with sleep apnea syndrome.
(8) Age under 18, without parents' accompany.
** The plateau Mountains weather is changeable, we could not guarantee we could trek before we arrive Ganden Monastery. So you should accept to do a plan B if the weather is bad.
** You could bring your own foods, kitchen ware and table ware and cook lunch and dinner by youself. As our itinerary above, there is extra charged fee for foods, cook or chef. Outdoor foods are simple offered in beef, egg, vegetable (limited), coffee, etc.
