Day 2

Program: A full day excursion by seat-in coach starting from the center of Beijing by visiting the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, then go to the Temple of Heaven where you can experience the local people’s life, and the royal garden Summer Palace,

-The Tian'anmen Square: Visit the largest city square in the world at the heart of Beijing

-The Forbidden City: Listed by the UNESCO as World Cultural Heritage, the world's largest palace complex covers a floor space of 720,000 square meters. It houses numerous rare treasures and curiosities after 500 years being an imperial palace.

-The Temple of Heaven: China's largest existing complex of ancient sacrificial buildings occupies an area of 273 hectares. It is three times the area of the Forbidden City, where you may see local people doing the morning exercises, practicing Taiji, dancing and even singing the Pecking Opera

-The Summer Palace: Listed as one of the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO, The Summer Palace in Beijing is ranked among the most noted and classical gardens of the world.

Day 3

  • Today's Activities: Beijing, Badaling Great Wall, Ming Tombs, The Bird's Nest, Water Cube

Program: Today's excursion by seat-in coach will leave you a deep impression because of the splendid Badaling Great Wall, which is the most popular section. And after lunch visit the Ming Tomb. Then on your way back to hotel you will have an exterior view of the 2008 Olympic sights: Bird's Nest and the Water Cube,

-Badaling Great Wall: One of the Seven Wonders of the World and the symbol of China. With a history of more than 2000 years and approximately 6,700 kilometers The Great wall of China offers a unique opportunity to experience this wonderful country. Among the most popular sections is the Great Wall at Badaling, The Great Wall at Mutianyu and The Great Wall at Simatai

-The Ming Tomb: The Ming tombs of the 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty were located on the southern slope of Mount Taishou (originally Mount Huangtu)

-"Bird's Nest": the Beijing National Stadium is the main track and field stadium for the 2008 Summer Olympics and has hosted the Opening and Closing ceremonies.

-"Water Cube": the National Swimming Center, with "bubbles" spread out all over its surface, is a shape very similar to the structure of "H2O".

Day 4

  • Today's Activities: Beijing, Beijing Hutong, Beijing Zoo, Train Station Transfer, Xian

Transfer via: by overnight train at soft sleeper Z19 (21:24-08:25+1)

Program: After breakfast in the hotel, you will have 2 hours Hutong tour, and have lunch in the local family. Then visit Beijing Zoo and Panda House. Be transferred to Beijing train station for overnight train to Xian, it would be your special experience in your China tour.

-Hutong tour: Go through old narrow paths where common people lived in ancient China and you also have an opportunity to get an insight into Chinese present life by joining a meal in a local family house. See also the Bell Tower, the Drum Tower, the Tea House and the lake.

-Beijing Zoo: It is located in the northwest area of Beijing city. It is the oldest and largest zoo in the Asia Pacific area and the world-famous home of the giant pandas

-Panda House: The busiest area of the Beijing Zoo is the famous Panda House, home to giant and lesser pandas of China. It is located in the northwest area of Beijing. Don't miss the small Red Pandas in the trees as you exit.

Day 5

-The Provincial Museum: Built at the site of a former Confucian temple in the southern part of Xian, this is the largest comprehensive museum in the province. It exhibits primarily historical relics of past dynasties and displays precious art treasures.

-The Ancient City Wall: It is the largest and best preserved present city wall in ancient China and is probably the best military battlement in the world.

-Great Mosque: It is the largest and best preserved of the early mosques of China. Built primarily in the Ming Dynasty when Chinese architectural elements were synthesized into mosque architecture

Program: Great day to visit the amazing Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses, and then go the Wild Goose Pagoda,

-The Terra-cotta Warriors: The greatest archaeological findings of the century: the army of terra-cotta warriors and the bronze chariots entombed in vast underground vaults at emperor Qin's tomb.

-The Wild Goose Pagoda: It is a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists.

Day 7

  • Today's Activities: Xian, Airport Transfer, Guilin, Elephant Trunk Hill, Reed Flute Cave

Program: After breakfast in hotel be transferred to Xian airport for flight to Guilin. Be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel, then visit Elephant Trunk Hill, which is the symbol of Guilin city. After that go to the city’s largest carve -- the Reed Flute Cave,

-Elephant Trunk Hill: As symbol of Guilin, it has become one of the most popular natural monuments. It resembles an elephant drinking from the Li River.

-Reed Flute: The Cave is Guilin's largest and most impressive cave. This cave is 790 feet deep. A visitor will walk for some 550 yards through a zigzagging way of stalactites and stalagmites in dazzling colors.

Day 8

  • Today's Activities: Guilin, Dock Transfer, Li River, Yangshuo, West Street

Program: Today’s program is the pick of the basket: Li River Cruise downstream to Yangshuo with lunch on board. On arrival Yangshuo, walking along the West Street, you will find many interesting stores.

-The Li River cruise: from Guilin to Yangshuo is the centerpiece of any trip to northeastern Guangxi Province. The eye-feasting landscape and country scenery will never disappoint you. And it has been call the most beautiful senerary in China.

-West Street: It is the oldest street in Yangshuo with a history of more than 1,400 years. Situated at the center of Yangshuo County, West Street has become, since the 1980's, a window of eastern and western culture and the biggest 'foreign language center' in China. West Street is the most prosperous district in Yangshuo, and, each year, approximately 100,000 foreigners come here on their travels or to attend advanced studies. Visitors are attracted to West Street by its unique mix of cultures.

Day 9

Place: Yangshuo Guilin ShanghaiMeal(s): B/L/-
  • Today's Activities: Yangshuo, Moon Hill, The Big Banyan Tree, Bus Transfer, Guilin, Airport Transfer, Shanghai

Program: In the morning, have a bicycle riding around the Yangshuo countryside, and visit the Moon Hill, and the 1,300-year old Big Banyan Tree; Transfer to Guilin airport for flight to Shanghai, Be met at the airport and transferred to hotel,

-Moon Hill: Moon Hill has a natural round cave at the peak and from a distance, the cave (a hole in the peak) resembles the moon, hence the name. It's one of Yangshuo's most visited sights. With an elevation of 380 meters, the hill is 230 meters in relative height and 410 meters in length. There are over 800 marble stairs leading to the cave. The stairs were completed in 1981, giving easy access to those who want to get a close view of the cave.

-Big Banyan Tree: The 1,300-old-year-old Banyan Tree is located 7 kilometers south of the Yangshou County. Its branches spread out in all directions and its roots twisting crisscross, and the tree takes six men to enclose its trunk with their arms stretched out. Under the tree there is an aged ferry, called “Aged Ferry under the Shade of the Aged Banyan.” On the opposite bank of the river stands a hill with a cave going through it, therefore the hill came by the name “Pierced-through Hill.” A hook-shaped rock, called the “Golden Hook,” protruded from near the hilltop, and another rock is found at the foot of the hill, which resembles a living frog ready to jump into the stream at any time.

Day 10

Program: Today you will stroll along Nanjing Road, and visit the Ming Dynasty private garden -- Yu Garden, and famous Jade Buddha Temple,

-Nanjing Road: It is one of the most important commercial and tourist streets in Shanghai, which stretches from Waitan to Yanan Xilu.

-Jade Buddha Temple: It is one of the main tourist highlights of Shanghai and it's also the most famous active temples in China. If you're lucky, you can watch the monks serving a ceremony in a side room.

-Yu Garden: It is characteristic of the architectural style of the Ming Dynasty and it used to be a private garden with 400 years' history. In front of the garden, there is a market called Yu Market.

-Shanghai Museum: The biggest museum in China, with a collection of over 120,000 pieces of Chinese art & cultural relics. It is especially famous for its treasures of bronzes, ceramics, paintings and calligraphy.

-Oriental Pearl TV Tower: Standing by the Huangpu River with 468 meters high, Oriental Pearl TV Tower is the highest TV Tower in Asia.
