American hotel brand Days Inn plans to set up an eco-friendly hotel in Yantai, Shandong province.

The new hotel will be the first hotel within the Chinese hospitality industry to have its own on-site solar power facility capable of generating up to 28.6KW per hour.

Ted Fang, president of Days Inn China, said that following its cosignatory Yantai Hua´an Group´s sustainable development plan, the new hotel, which is called Days Inn China Hua´an Yantai, will adopt the state-of-the-art solar power technology.

Located on the coast of the Yellow Sea, Days Inn Hua´an Yantai features a wide array of accommodation and entertainment facilities including a cafe, lounge, Chinese and Western restaurants, and a fully-equipped gym.

Meeting facilities at the hotel include a business center and several banquet and conference halls.
