Wuhan-Guangzhou High-speed Line to Open In Late December

Early December 2009, the Wuhan – Guangzhou high-speed line, which had a successful first trial operation, will formally open on December 26th.

Formerly it needs about ten hours to go between Wuhan to Guangzhou. After the high-speed opening, it will only take three hours to go between the two destinations with an average speed of 350km/h.

Constructing from Jun 2005, it is regarded as an important part of the Beijing to Guangzhou high-speed line. This route crosses 15 stations in Hubei, Hunan, and Guangdong. It is reported that there will be a train departing every three minutes.
