The Hainan Airlines Shenzhen Branch has been officially opened, and on the same day the HNA Group signed a strategic cooperative agreement with the Shenzhen municipal government.

According to the agreement, Hainan Airlines will base 50 aircraft in Shenzhen in five years when the second runway of Shenzhen Airport is finished. The Grand China Logistics Group, which is part of the HNA Group, will also develop its business by adding two 737 cargo aircraft and a 747 cargo aircraft.

At present, Hainan Airlines has ten Boeing 737 passenger aircraft and three cargo aircraft based in Shenzhen with a total of 25 routes and 165 flights weekly, sharing 8% of Shenzhen's aviation market.
