During 2010 the year for the Three Gorges Tourism, Chongqing plans to invest CNY 3 billion to build the Three Gorges International Tourism golden zone.

In order to unify the development of the Three Gorges tourism, the government has authorized Chonaqing Traffic and Tourism Investment Group Company to integrate and mange the transportation and service tasks involved in the construction of Three Gorges Tourism golden zone. And Chonaqing Traffic and Tourism Investment Group Company is a well-known and experienced travel service provider in Chongqing.  

The vice mayor of Chongqng, Mr. Tan Xiwei has said that to achieve the goal of building the Three Gorges Tourism Zone, Chongqing needs to improve its tourism facilities , service quality, and explore the overseas market.
