Chengdu Airlines to Concentrate On Tourist and Regional Routes

After the restructuring by the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Chengdu Communications Investment Group, and the new Chengdu Airlines -- Chengdu Airlines Company, will be established in January 22, 2010.

In the meantime, China's first privately-owned airline, United Eagle Airlines Company, will no longer exist. In July 2005, United Eagle Airlines launched its first flight. However, on October 15, 2009, CACC, CCIC, and Sichuan Airlines signed a cooperation agreement to restructure this privately owned airline, and CACC became the biggest stockholder of the airline.

With the stylized Sunbird as its badge, Chengdu Airlines will concentrate on tourist routes and regional routes.
