Since 30th June 2010, Hong Kong Airlines will launch a new international direct route to Moscow.

After this launching, there will have 4 flights each week between Hong Kong and Moscow, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Using Airbus A330-200 aircraft, this route will configured with business and economy cabins. The one-way trip will take about 10 hours, which is four hours less than the current service which involves transferring in Beijing or Shanghai.

The president of the airline, Mr. Yang Jianhong, said that travel to Russia is now quite popular in Guangdong, as the exchanges between China and Russia are increasing, and China and Russia Guangdong have signed an agreement on abolition of visa requirements.
