Six Chinese Cities Promote Intercity Travel

The tourism administrations of six Chinese cities have signed a cooperation agreement and they will jointly promote intercity travel. The six cities are Zhanjiang in Guangdong, Wuzhou in Guangxi, Luoyang in Henan, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan, and the Yuzhong district of Chongqing. In order to develop their tourism industries, the six parties have agreed to launch intercity and interregional business and cultural tourism cooperation and exchanges. The fully-functional city tourism platform will be built based on each other’s characteristic and their ability to integrating resources. They will work together on the intercity travel marketing theme and activities, launch theme travel marketing and city marketing, and prescribe service standards of tourist products with industry and commerce, price control and quality supervision departments. The deputy director of Haikou Tourism Development Committee, Mr. Cai Qiao said that the six parties will work hard on the construction of tourism information, reinforce their self-service travel system, and promote the development of a barrier free mechanism. |
