On September 14th, 2008, the Chinese traditional Middle Autumn Day, the giant panda of CCRCGP Ye Ye gives birth to a cub to celebrate the festival.
On the afternoon of September 14th, Ye Ye appears very upset, walking back and forth in her enclosure and biting the wood fences. Keepers wait besides the controller and make preparations for the reproduction to welcome the new life. At 15:54, Ye Ye begins valsalva maneuver and cunnilingus. At 18:33, amniotic fluid is broken. Two minutes later, the cub can´t bear the temptation of the Middle Autumn Festival and was born smoothly. Its crying is very resonant, as if it is saying "happy the Middle Autumn Day" to the employees.
At 19:42, keepers get the cub from Ye Ye smoothly. After physical examination, the cub weighs 191.2g. It is male and very healthy.
Giant Panda Ye Ye is 9 years old this year. In 2006, she delivered a pair of twin cubs. They were named Lang Lang and Cui Cui. Now the two cubs have become Olympic pandas and are now cheering for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
