Located at the juncture of the Yangtze River and the Jialing River in the southwestern China, Chongqing Municipality is the largest, land and water communications hub, industrial and commercial center of the entire upper Yangtze River region. Transport

Chongqing is the fourth and newest municipality as well as the largest city in southwest China. The metropolis boasts a three dimensional transportation system which has helped to make it one of the most significant transportation hubs in the country.
By air:
Besides the numerous air connections with domestic major cities, the city also has links with international destinations such as Bangkok and NAgoya. The Jiangbei International Airport is 21km from the city center and is accessible from the city via express way.
By train:
It is very convenient to travel by train in Chongqing. The city is linked by the Chengyu (Chengdu-Chongqing) railway, Xiangyu (Xiangfan-Chongqing) railway and Chuanqian (Chongqing-Guiyang) railway, and has further links with the national railway system. The Chongqing train station is located in the city center.

By boat:
Located beside the legendary Yangtze river Chongqing has long been an important inner land harbor. Today, despite severe competition from trains and planes, water transportation is still favored by many travelers both because of the comfort, leisure and the great views along the waterways.
