Hidden in the Gobi Desert twenty kilometers from Yumenguan Pass at the west, was originally the important quartermaster depot.
It was a transport hub. Supplies like food and wine were transported here from nearby towns to be stored for the armies that guarded the Yumen Guan Pass.
