The Silver Cave(Yinzi Cave) is praised as "the World Limestone Cave Miracle" by the experts on Karsts geology from France. It is one of the most impressive caves with amazing crystal cave deposits in Guilin. The deposits are prevented from oxidation very well, so the Silver Cave is as beautiful as its name.
The Silver Cave is located in the Maling Town Lipu County some 85 km away from the very center of Guilin City. It is an underground network of caves penetrating through twelve hills. Nowadays, 2 km of the cave has been presented to tourists. The process of exploring the cave is always full of visitors’ wonderments for the cave assembles crystal deposits.
The deposits in the cave were formed in different geologic periods and developed into variety of shapes. Imagination plays a very important role in your appreciation of the cave’s beauty because the deposits are in variety of shapes. The stalactites, the stalagmites, the stone curtains, the baldacchino canopies, the bell canopies, etc. are very common in the Silver Cave.
