Brief Introduction

Jade pool is also called old oil pool. It is situated at the north part of Mt.Huangshan. It is about 1km from Furong peak. The pool is about 15m long, 8m wide and 10m deep. The whole pool is all surrounded by nature granite stone. The water from Songgu stream is pouring into the pool. The whole pool likes a big green jade because of the pure, green water, but the water is very cold even in summer time. So it is not allowed to swim in the pool. At the side of the pool, there is a huge rock. There are a lot of calligraphy like "fu"(happiness), "shou"(longevity), "fo" (Buddha). Especially the "Buddha", it´s about 3m diameter.

Features
There are a lot of rocks gather together on the south of the pool. The water flows out of the gap of the rock, like a nature oil press. There is a stone looks like oil can on the north of the pool, another stone looks like a pot at the bottom of the east cliff.

It is really a nice place with such a beautiful natural scenery.
