Traffic :The best method of transport is the bus running through Lugu Lake for CNY 20. The bus starts from Ninglang to Yongning. The fare is CNY50 from Lugu Lake to the islands by the dugout canoe.

Located between Ninglang County in Yunnan Province and Yanyuan County in Sichuan Province, Lugu Lake is 5.2 kilometers wide from east to west with a total area of 50sq km. With an average depth of 45 meters, it is the second deepest lake in Yunnan.
The lake has three islands in the middle, which are known as the "Fabled Abode of Immortals". A dozen of Mosuo families live on this island so it is possible for the visitors to experience the life on the island and, at the same time, enjoy the beautiful scenery of the lake.
The pretty and graceful Mosuo girls, the ancient and natural canoes and the moving and pleasant fishing songs are considered to be the "three most enjoyable things on the lake". The water in this lake is green and lucid and the environment around is well preserved.
