Yufeng Temple, located at the southern foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, is 9 kilometers from the county seat of Lijiang. Yufeng Lamasery is called "Kalashicongfeilin" in Tibetan language.

It lies on the east slope of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain with ancient forests clustering around. There is a small pool in front of the lamasery embraced by big pine trees. Known as thousands of camellias, Yufeng temple was found in the end of Qing dynasty, it is one of the five important lamaseries.

The construction of the building is small and exquisite; it both contained Qing dynastic and Tibetan Buddhism building styles. The famous camellias were planted in Qianlong period of Qing dynastic.It has been reputed as king of camellia. Enjoy the camellia´s blossom out at the beginning of spring will be your best choice.
