Brief Introduction
On the east bank of the Urumqi River, Red Hill, 910 meters high,1.5km long and 1km wide from east to west.

The body of the mountain, made up of aborigine rock, has a reddish brown color, hence, the name Red Hill. At the very center of the city, it resembles a mighty wriggling dragon.

This reddish-brown hill is dotted with small pavilions and at the top stands a nine-storied, gray-brick pagoda called Zhenlong Pagoda (Pagoda to Suppress Dragons), 8 meters high, facing Yamalike Hill. With its emerald greenery and its religious pagoda and shrines, Red Hill is a landmark of the city.
