Mulan Hunting Site (Mulan Weichang) is famous for its natural hunting. It used to be royal hunting site in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1901 A.D.). There were thousands of people going for hunting and learning military skills every year. And now it is a nice place for cooling off in summer and skiing and hunting in winter, which has developed into a national forest park and became an ideal tourist destination.

It is located in Weichang County, Chengde city, with an area of 1,410,000 mu in which there are Saihanba Spot and the Saihanba National Forest Park.

The forest covers 1,060,000 mu and the pasture covers 200,000 mu. 75.2% of the whole area is covered by natural scenery. Since ancient time it has been a fertile place, a natural imperial garden. "Pine Trees for One-thousand-li" has ever been the hunting place for the Emperor in Liao Dynasty.

Features
Mulan Hunting Site is also the place for Emperor in the Qing Dynasty to hold the Mulan hunting in autumn. Nowadays, it still keeps the feature of nature and simplicity, keeps the primitive beauty. Man ancient time, they have exchanged their cultures and customs, forming strong national customs. Famous scenery spots are Kang Xi Military-Reviewing Stand, the General´s pond, Saihan Lake, Saihan tower and Ten-li Gallery.
