The Beijing Science and Technology University (BSTU) Gymnasium will host the Judo and Taekwondo events. The gymnasium spans an area greater than 24000 square metres and will house 8000 seats. The arena is located on the central axis of the school. The gymnasium is shaped in a square and- when completed - will sport a flat roof.
The lighting system utilizes the latest light-pipe technology, which can directly introduce outdoor sunlight into the gymnasium, thus ensuring 10-hours of natural light during daytime hours. |
