Mt. Siguniang Travel Guide

Mt. Siguniang Scenic Spot lies in Xiaojin County, northwest Sichuan, is at the east edge of Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, belongs to Midwest section of Qionglai Mountain, and connects to Wolong Giant Panda Natural Reserve in the east, Lixian in the north and Baoxing Fengtongzhai Natural Reserve in the south. It consists of four parts, Mt. Siguniang (4 peaks), Shuangqiao Valley, Changping Valley and Haizi Valley, covering 569 square kilometers. Mt. Siguniang was listed as national key scenic spot in 1994 and national natural reserve in 1996; was selected as national AAAAtourist area in 2001 and national geopark in 2005.

Mt. Siguniang, with the main peak of an elevation of 6,250 meter, is the second highest peak in Sichuan, enjoying the reputation of Oriental Holy Mountain all over the world due to towering & beautiful sceneries, pure & glittering appearance, graceful bearing and elegant temperament. Intergrating leisure, sightseeing, scientific research, mountain-climbing and special tourism, it can satisfy delands of tourists as an Outdoor Paradise and an ideal complex tourism destination providing a feast of eye and kinds of entertainments for tourist. The provincial road 303 crosses the scenic spot which is 200 kilometers from Chengdu as a snow-mountain-type scenic spot nearest central city.
