Qingyun Mountain Travel Guide

Qingyun Mountain in Linglu Township in Yongtai County is a national Scenic and Historic Interest Zone and also a national AAAA tourist area. In Chinese Qingyun means "clouds in the sky". Qingyun Mountain is thus named because it rises abruptly toward the sky. It occupies an area of 52.5 square kilometers. Its main peak is 1,130 meters above sea level. The mountain is divided into four major scenic sections, named respectively "Cloudy Sky and Stone Corridor Valley", "Waterfalls in White Horse Gorge", "Sky-high Waterfall" and "Divine Gully of Spinulose Tree Fern". Zhuangyuan, the main peak of Qingyun Mountain, stands in the "Cloudy Sky and Stone Corridor Valley". The "White Horse Gorge and Waterfalls" section occupies an area of 16 square kilometers, making the gorge the largest one in Southeast China. The waterfall in the "Sky-high Waterfall and Water Curtain Palace" section has a drop of 588 meters, the highest terrace waterfall in Asia.

The Imperial Hot Spring Scenic Zone includes the Wet Spring Pond, Children's Play Pll., Massage SPA Pool and other recreational facilities, integrating hot spring recuperation, leisure, vactions, health building and conventions.
