Fuzhou Transportation
Air
The Changle International Airport is about 55 kilometers from downtown Fuzhou. The terminal building of 137,000 square meters is perfectly equipped. the airport can accommodate six million passengers a year and handle 3,000 passengers an hour. More than 80 domestic and international air routes link Fuzhou with 55 cities including Hong Kong and Luala Lumpur.
Railways
The Fuzhou Railway Station is located on north side of Hualin Road in downtown Fuzhou. Every day trains departure from this station to 17 cities, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guiyang, Changsha, Nanjing, Wuchang, Nanchang, Nanping, Ji'an and Wuyishan. The express multiple unit trains run regularly from Fuzhou to Wenzhou, Hangzhou, Shanghai and other cities in China.
Highways
There are three passenger bus stations in the downtown area of Fuzhou: Northern Station near the Fuzhou Railway Station, Southern Station at the southern end of Wuyi Road and Western Station near Hongshan Bridge.
Waterways
Ships from Fuzhou Port go directly to four dozens of cities in Europe, Americas, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. Fuzhou has one of the ten largest container ports in China. A 50,000-ton berth has been completed at the new Jiangyin Dock. Twenty more berths each with a handling capacity of more than 50,000 tons will be built. The largest one will have a handling capacity of 20,000 tons a year. Fuzhou will become the largest hub seaport along the coastline in Southeast China. A water route linking Mawei in Fujian Province and Mazu in Taiwan Province is now in operation.
Urban Traffice
Public transport in the urban area of Fuzhou City is very convenient. The bus fare is the same (1 Yuan is added to it for air-conditioning in the bus from 1st June to 30th September). The starting price of the taxi is eight Yuan, and 1.5 Yuan for each of the extra kilometer, plus one yuan for fuel surcharge.
