West Lake Park Travel Guide

Located at the foot of Wolong Hill on Hubin Road west of the old urban area of Fuzhou, the West Lake Park is one of the best preserved classical gardens in Fuzhou. It was first built in the 3rd year of the Taikang Period of the Western Jin Dynasty (A.D.282) and renovated on a large scale in 2001. the public park occupies an area of about 430,000 square meters. A causeway lined with willow trees leads to Kaihua Island in the lake. On the island there is the Kaihua Buddhist Temple and other spots of interest, including the Qifeihong Bridge, Buyun Bridge, Ziwei Hall,Wanzai Hall and Gengyi Pavilion.

Traffic:

Take public bus No. 1,65,70,74,809,810 or 948 and get off at West Lake Stop.
