Nanjing Overview

As the capital city of Jiangsu Province, Nanjing (formerly known in the West as Nanking) is the political, economic, and cultural center. It is one of the ancient capitals and an outstanding tourist city. Nanjing was made the capital of ten feudal dynasties in China. It is a wealthy, prosperous city, benefiting both from its proximity to Shanghai, and from its gateway position on the Yangzi River , which stretches away west deep into China interior.

Nanjing has profound history and culture. Every mountain, every river, even every building is reflecting stories on history.

Nanjing is a beautiful and modern city, the Yangtze River flows from the city zone on the west side, and the most famous Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum scenic area is located in the city in the East, so Nanjing's main business areas and scenic areas are between the Yangtze River and the Zijinshan mountain. Xuanwuhu Lake is at the foot of the Zijinshan mountain, and the surrounding is one of the most bustling business districts of Nanjing. Train station, bus station, Food Street of Hunan Road are all in this area together.

From the Xuanwuhu Lake to the south, there is the most representative of Qinhuai customs of Confucius Temple scenic area, where there is not only the Confucian Temple, Jiangnan royal courtyard, former residence of Li Xiangjun and a large number of ancient heritage, as well as countless good food and appealing night scenery. All of them are good views in Nanjing.
