Zhangye Overview

Also called Ganzhou, the Zhangye city lies in the central part of Hexi Corridor and is an important post town for entering Hexi Corridor from the ancient Silk Road.

With a long history, various historic sites, beautiful mountains and rivers as well as unpretending and honest residents, the city enjoys a good reputation of "Golden Zhangye". Shandan Horse Ranch, with plenty of water and lush grass, enjoys a good reputation of "the largest army horse ranch of Asia". Thw world rare Zhangye Danxia Landscape-Colorful Hills Scenic Area is thrilling for its manificence, magical look and glorious colors. Moreover, Zhangye is a muti-ethnic area since ancient times.
