our footprints--Hangzhou and Mt Huangshan

17th Dec 2010    A confounded starting!

In the afternoon after the last email was sent, I found I was the only one in the office, other colleagues have left for the preparation of the tour to Hangzhou and Huangshan. I looked at my cell phone, it was 15:30, it was the right time to catch my train then, I went out and locked the door, but when I waited for the elevator, I felt as if I forgot something, I checked my luggage again and found my wallet and the train ticket was left in my office! God! Woo, I hurried to contact Casper for the key to the office, and then to the room and took a taxi to the train station, but when waiting for the train, I found my shoes were broken… I always put on this pair of shoes for evening exercise, but I never noticed it were broken before, how could I clime the mountain with broken shoes? It was a big headache to me!

Got on the train in a hurry, I felt thirsty, and surprise to find I did not bring my cup with me at all! I did not want to play porker and even did not have appetite to eat anything, well, it was really a bad starting for the tour!

18th Dec 2010   Arrive in Hangzhou

I felt better when I woke up in the early morning; I became even excited when I saw the snow outside the window, yes, the white snow could be seen here and there along the railway, I have not seen snow for many years, and this special scenery attracted my eyes, I forgot my mistakes immediately, just focused my attention to the snow for a long time…

In the afternoon, we reached in Hangzhou, when we went out the station, we found the sunshine was so bright and warm, and all of us were in thick clothes, just looked like a flock of penguins…

Our tour guide was a little girl, she was very shy, after met us at the train station, and she brought us to the Feilai Peak and began our Hangzhou tour. At the Feilai Peak, we saw a lot of stone curve on the mountain, Hangzhou used to be a Buddha City in ancient China, and we can see lots of the temples in the city. Lingyin Temple is the most famous Temple in Hangzhou.

We were very lucky when we visit the Lingying Temple, there was a Buddha Ceremony was proceeding, I stood outside the hall, listening to the monk’s murmur, through the microphone, his voice reached every corner of the Temple and went throught my chest and reached my soul, I could not understand what he said, but his voice did bring something into my heart, and held me there, I stood long time said nothing, and did nothing, just listening. I was so peaceful, as if all the things around me were not longer existed; I was only wrapped by the voice. At that moment, I almost can feel the power of religion, it was so clean, bright and peace...
Song Dynasty Ancient City was our last destination on the first day, after dinner, we went to Song Ancient City, as it contained many intersting shops and building, so we could visit it by ourself, I saw two guards at the entrance of city, and then I got an idea, I told Sally to shoot some pictures for me when I was trying to rob the sword from one of the guards, it must be very interesting exprience, and we finally did it--

From this photo I almost could feel the guard must be going to cry, he was so helpless when we did this to him...
The activity followed was a show, showing one thousand year's change in Hang Zhou, to be honest, I disliked it. Maybe I was still thinking about my broken shoes.

19th Dec 2010  The beautiful West Lake, the beautiful Hang Zhou

I got up very early in the mornig, for I was on duty the day before, I need to answer some emails, so as if in war, I rushed here and there in my room all morning, kept busy all the time. When it was the time for breakfast, I could eat nothing. I could not eat anything under such a condition.
Our tour guide brought us to visit Hang Zhou City, the Leifeng Tower was our the first scenic spots. The Tower is located on the bank of Weste Lake, when the twilight downs on it, it looks like an old man watching the beautiful lake, it is also the typical scenic spot in Hang Zhou.
From the top the of tower, I can have a bird-view of the lake, and what I saw that day was really took my breath away---
