Li River

Li River

Li River is a beautiful river in Guilin city. Guilin people love it very much, since our drinking water from this River, one third of the economy incomes are also from the River( Li River is a tour attraction in Guilin). So Li River just like a mother nurish her children selflessly.

1)     Cormorant

Cormorants are good assistants for fishmen. In Guilin, fishing with births is an old tradition, cormorants have been tamed and trained to catch and bring back fish to their owners. The cormorant plunge into the river and catch fish, it can not swallow the fish because its throat is tied by a string, (when its work is done, sting remove so it can eat).

A experienced cormorant can catched almost 40—50 pounds fish each day. How much is it cost? Guess it……..

The answer is :1,000—1,500 yuan for each. Waooo….Not cheap! Right?

2)     Water buffalo

Yangshuo county

Yangshuo is a really small county of Guilin , only 10,000 population in this county. It’s about 65km south to Guilin, 4-5 hours on Li River cruise to Yangshuo, 1.5 hours driving from Guilin. Yangshuo is becoming a famous tour destination with amazing countyside scenery which attract tourists from all over the world.

You can chose activities here like:

1)     shopping in the West street. West street in Yangshuo is so famous with many souvenir shops, coffee shops and different cuisine restaurants.

2)     Take biking and enjoy the countryside scenery.

3)     Rafting along Yulong Li River

Yulong River is a biggest tributary of Li River in Yangshuo. The scenery here will make you breathlessly, it’s such clean and clear water, mountains stand on both sides of the river in different shapes. All over these make you fell living in a picture, then siting on a private bambo raft, smelling fragrance of the rice, enjoying countryside scenery. I think it’s so awesome for you tour.

4)     Taking Chinese cooking lessons or Taiji boxing lessons or painting lessons in Yangshuo.
