The
Beijing Railway Bureau denies the rumor that a luxury train from Beijing to
Lhasa will be put into operation, reported by the Beijing News Friday.
"The luxury special train would only serve 108 passengers for a seven-day journey, and the one-way ticket cost more than $10,000 each," Liao Lisheng, director of the policy and regulation division of the Tibet Tourism Bureau, told the Tibet Daily on Wednesday. And the train will be launched this year, said Liao.
The Beijing Railway Bureau said that the information about the luxury train is "not accurate" and they have no plan about it.
