Introduction of East King Cruise
As China's first five-star deluxe river cruise ship, the "East King" owned and managed by Hubei Orient Royal Cruise ship Limited, is respectively started operation in August 1994 and April 1995. It is the best ship on the Yangtze River.
"East King" has Finland made diesel engines (Arsela 8R 22126), widely recognized as one of the best medium speed engines in the world. With careful designs and elaborate equipment, the East King Cruise provides international standard of comfort and service unmatched on the river. Guests can enjoy the high-level service while viewing the spectacular scene of Three Gorges. Superior hardware combined with the excellent hotel service has earned the "East King" the coveted reputation of "Best Cruise ship on the Yangtze River".

WEATHER INFORMATION Chongqing and Wuhan are known traditionally as the "furnaces of China". Between April and September, the temperature in the Yangtze River valley reaches 36oC (97oF) and above. Spring and autumn are therefore the best seasons for making the river cruises. However, with the tall mountains and gorges through which the river threads its path, precipitation is very high and the peaks are often shrouded in cloud and mist, although a light haze can enhance the beauty of the scenery.
