Shichahai Travel Guide

Shichahai is also called Ten Temples Sea in chinese, got its name because there were ten temples around it. It is like the water village in the north of China, combining by 3 lakes: Xihai (the West Lake), Houhai (the Behind Lake) and Qianhai (the Front Lake).

Shichahai have well preserved the typical old Beijing buildings like Hutong and quadrangles, which show us the vivid living of local people. Besides, there are some imperil gardens and houses, such as the Mansion of Prince Gong and Song Qingling's former residence.

Traffic:

It can be reached by bus No. 60, 5, 124, 108, 815, 734, 834, and 111. Or you can take subway No. 2 to Jishuitan Station, and the Shichahai is in your walking distance.

Go through old narrow paths where common people lived in ancient China and you also can visit it by rickshaw.
