Baiyin Aobao National Natural Reserve Travel Guide

Located at the northwest of Hexigten Banner of Chifeng Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, it has the total area of 13862 hectares of protected, 75 kilometers away from the government from Hexigten Banner.
  　
East from the Fourth Shimen Line, north to five Shimen Reservoir bank and the fire line, the west is bounded by the fire line, the south is bounded by Bi Liu River, and the Reserve has Bayan Aobo Mountain in the south as the highest point, decreased gradually from the south to the north. The average elevation of reserve is around 1350 meters. The rain season is from June to August, the summer there. The beautiful grassland scenery is very attractive.

Baiyin Aobao National Natural Reserve has a species rich sandy forest, grassland, and ecosystem diversity of comprehensive protection area.
In this area there are wild plants of great economic value being protected: Atractylodes rhizome, Qi Zhou rhaponticum, Asia, bupleurum, thyme leaves of Lilium pomatum, windbreak, Promus, yellow two color salamander, a total of more than 400 species of plants.

And it have complex populations of wild animal, domestic birds include: Black Stork, the great bustard, Golden Eagle, black grouse, crane, Demoiselle Crane, swan, class wing partridge. There are red deer, roe deer, lynx:, raccoon, one or two national protected animal.
