White Cloud Mountain Travel Guide

Brief Introduction
White Cloud Mountain is a park with natural hills and waters, and an ideal sightseeing place and summer resort.

The mountain is located about 17 kilometers (10 miles) north of Guangzhou. The total area of White Cloud Mountain is about 28 square kilometers (10 square miles). The mountain is made up of 30-odd peaks. The highest peak, Moxing Ridge stands in the center of White Cloud Mountain, measuring 382 meters in height, reputed as "the First Peak under the Southern Sky".

The road to the top is restricted to park trams and pedestrians. To get to the top lookout point, you can use the main roads or trails. There are many places to rest and refreshments are available along the way. It is a great place to see people enjoying nature and playing games, such as badminton, football (soccer) and even budgie jump.

Due to "White cloud flying over the mountain, and gathering around its base" The Mountain was named White Cloud Mountain. It has gorgeous scenery and abundant historical relics, and since ancient times, it has already been a famous scenic spot in Guangzhou.

White Cloud Mountain is famous as a resort since Tang and Song dynasties, the hills have been thematically restored to attract tourists and now boast a number of attractions, including the Mingchun Valley Aviary, which features a wide variety of bird species.
