Bosten Lake, the largest fresh water inland lake in China, means oasis in Uygur language, was called West Sea in history, locating at the south part of Tianshan Mountain, and southeast part of Yanqi Basin. It’s as long as 55 kilometers, as wide as 25 kilometers, and has total area of 1228 square kilometer. The average depth is 9 meters and deepest to 17 meters.
