Lanzhou Waterwheel Exhibition Park Travel Guide

Located at the middle section of Binhe Road in Qilihe District, it is a theme park of the waterwheel culture in Lanzhou and is a national AAAA tourist attraction. Originated in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), the waterwheel is the earliest tool of pumping water for irrigation along the Yellow River in Lanzhou. Covering an area of 14,588 square meters, the park is composed of 12-wheel Lanzhou waterwheels, cofferdams, watermills and entertainment area, etc. With running river water, revolving waterwheel and dotted trees and flowers, the park restores a harmonious historic picture of life and production of the ancient Lanzhou residents, Yellow River and waterwheels.
