Danzhou Ancient Town Travel Guide

Danzhou Ancient Town on Liujiang River is really different from other ancient towns, it is on an island, most of the civilian houses are morden, except the relic of rock city wall, gates and some public architectures of Ming Dynasty.
The relic in Danzhou include:
Danzhou Ancient City Wall -- it is 879 meters on length, 5.3 meters on height and 3.6 meters on thickness, 450 battlements and 4 gates with gate tower in 4 directions. The city wall not only defend the war, but also defend the flood. now you could see the relic of North part.
Tianhou Palace of Danzhou -- The ancient Danzhou is a water crossroad for trade and commerce, and the Tianhou Palace is a copy of A-Ma Temple by businessmen from Guangdong and Fujian Area 300 years ago.
Danzhou Academy -- it is an ancient academy date back to Qing Dynasty, now it is the location of Danzhou Primary School. Here is the largest group of ancient architectures on the island.
Except ancient relic, pemelo is the highlight of this island, you could see pemelo trees everywhere on the island.
