Zhenyuan Ancient Town Travel Guide

Zhenyuan ancient town is located in the Wuyang riverside and surrounded by green mountains. The river winds its way in the "S" shape passed through the city. The north shore was the origin prefectural city and south used to be the old acropolis which both looks like Yin and yang symbol from afar. Both two were built in the Ming dynasty and now still remaining few parts of the walls and gates. Historic buildings, traditional dwellings and old ferries are among inside and outside city. A group of magnificent scale Ming and Qing Dynasties style religious buildings are at the eastern side Qinglong Cave which contains Buddhism temple and Daoism even Confucian temple. Three religions in one, which is spectacular.In addition, There are Queen of Heaven Temple, Wuwang Cave, Stone Screen Hill and Iron Stream etc, tourist attractions along the Wuyang River.
