3 Days Mt. Siguniang Highlights Tour

Day 1: Departure from Chengdu, 5 hours private transfer to Rilong Town, free exploration for the rest day.

Program: pick up at 8:00 a.m. in the hotel lobby, begin the Mt. Siguniang tour. During the 5-hour driving, we will pass by the Dujiangyan and see the landscape along Min River.
At noon, we will have lunch at Wolong Town. After lunch, continue driving to Rilong Town. Then, pass through the Mt. Balang Pass, which is the highest point at the latitude of 4488 meters. Going down along zig-zaged mountain road, we will stop at Cat Nose to overlook the Mt. Siguniang. If weather permits, we can enjoy the cloud sea.
Around 3:00 p.m., we arrive at Rilong Town. Check in and have a rest or explore the town.

Day 2: Departure from hotel, private transfer to Changping Valley, whole day sightseeing

Program: your guide will pick you up at 08:30 a.m. in the hotel lobby, and transfer to Changping Valley.
Upon arrival at the Valley, we will take a sightseeing bus to Lamasery(Lama Miao). Twenty minutes later, we arrive there and see the Tibetan monastery. This Lamasery is scared for Jiarong Tibetans and was built in the 15th century.
Starting from Lamasery, a plank road goes through the forest and lasts for 7 kilometers. Along the plank road, we will find ancient cypress forest, standing weathered dry trees and special seabuckthorn forest. The end of plank road is Lower Ganhaizi. Ganhaizi means the dry lake in plateau. Snow mountain, wild flowers, and flocks and herds, we can take a glance of the peaceful life here. Trekking on the plank road takes about 3 hours.
We will have our packed lunch here and have a short rest. Then continue our tour to the last stop is MuLuozi. This is a vast grass land and the best view point to enjoy the Mt. Siguniang. The mountain road to Muluozi is muddy and toughed. On the way, we will see the red stone field. According to the folk story, it is the blood tears of Siguniang. But from the science, the stone was covered by the red algae. This part takes 1.5 hours.
Then we have to return Lamasery before 17:30 and take sightseeing bus to the exit.

Day 3: Departure from hotel, private transfer to Shunagqiao Valley, half-day sightseeing, then return Chengdu

Program: pick up in the morning, today, we will have an easier tour! We will take a sightseeing bus to visit the whole Shuangqiao Valley. The sightseeing bus will take us to the last stop-Redwood Forest. Redwoods are our national second-class protected plant. The redwoods forest is the home to the rare creatures, such as Tragopan temminckii and bharal. If we are lucky, we can see them.
Then take the sightseeing bus back to other six stops: Potala Peak view platform, Niupengzi platform, Rafting entrance, Rafting exit, Bonsai Beach(Penjing Tan) and Ren Shen Guo Ping. Between the Rafting exit and entrance, we hike slightly to Nianyu Ba. We will go through the sea-buckthorn forest and see the waterfall. We can get close to the grand valley.
After lunch, your guide and driver will transfer you back to your Chengdu hotel.
