Day 1: Arrival in Beijing | Airport Pick-up and Hotel Check-in

Program:

Nihao! Welcome to Beijing, the capital city of China! Upon your arrival at the airport/train station in Beijing, the tour guide and driver will meet and greet you at the exit, and then escort you to the well-selected hotel in downtown Beijing. The rest of the day is free on your own so you can have a good rest for the jet lag or explore by yourself around your hotel.


Arrival Ideas:

Beijing  is  well  connected  by  air  and  high  speed  rail.  There  are  two  airports  -  Beijing  Daxing International  Airport  and  Beijing  Capital  International  Airport  operating  many  international  and domestic airlines. Travelers can go to Beijing by air from most cities of China, like Hong Kong, Shanghai,  Guangzhou,  Chengdu,  Xian,  Guilin,  Hangzhou,  Kunming,  Wuhan,  Xiamen,  Guiyang, Chongqing, and Lanzhou. In addition, travelers can take the high speed train to Beijing from Xian , Shanghai , Zhengzhou , Wuhan, Harbin , etc.

Day 2: Beijing City Tour | Tian’anmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace

Program:

After breakfast, you will head to visit the world-famous Tiananmen Square. Located along Beijing’s central axis, Tiananmen Square is the largest city-center square in the world and holds a significant place in Chinese history, having witnessed countless important historical events. Here, you can admire the majestic Tiananmen Gate Tower and gain a deeper understanding of China’s rich cultural heritage.


Next, you will cross the square to visit the Forbidden City. Also known as the Forbidden City, it sits at the center of Beijing’s central axis and served as the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It is the largest and most well-preserved wooden palace complex in the world. Here, you can walk along the central axis to explore the key palaces, marvel at the splendid ancient architecture, and learn fascinating historical stories from your guide. Afterward, you may take a short 15-minute walk to Jingshan Park, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Forbidden City and the magnificent cityscape of Beijing.


In the afternoon, you will drive to visit the famous imperial garden, Summer Palace. The Summer Palace is the largest and best-preserved imperial garden in China and one of the country’s four most famous classical gardens. Known as a “museum of royal gardens,” it features stunning scenery, including pavilions, halls, lakes, and bridges, offering countless picturesque views.


Note: The Forbidden City is closed on Mondays. If your visit falls on a Monday, the itinerary for Day 2 and Day 3 will be swapped accordingly.

Day 3: Beijing Great Wall Tour | Mutianyu Great Wall, Bird's Nest & Water Cube

Program:

After breakfast, you will drive about 73 km (approximately 1.5–2 hours) to visit the Mutianyu Great Wall, one of the most famous sections of the Great Wall, which is recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Mutianyu Great Wall is the longest fully restored section of the Great Wall in China and is renowned for its beautiful scenery, often praised as “the most remarkable section of the Great Wall.”


You will first take a cable car up to 14th Watchtower, then walk westward along the Wall. Along the way, you can enjoy the magnificent mountain scenery and the breathtaking views of the winding Great Wall. Eventually, you will reach 20th Watchtower, the highest point on this section, completing your Great Wall experience.


After visiting the Great Wall, you will return to downtown Beijing. On the way, you will stop for an exterior view of the Beijing National Stadium (Bird’s Nest) and the Beijing National Aquatics Center (Water Cube), where you can take photos. Afterwards, return to your hotel for a good rest.

Day 4: Departure from Beijing | Hotel Check-out and Airport See-off

Program:

After breakfast, your classic 4-day Beijing Highlights Join-in Tour will come to an end. Our driver will transfer you to the airport or railway station for your onward journey to the next destination.
