Day 1: Meet you at Beijing International Airport and transfer you to your Beijing hotel.

Program:

Arrive in Beijing, the capital of China. To be met at the airport then transferred to your hotel. Free at leisure in the evening.

Day 2: All day Beijing downtown highlights: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven.

Program:

Depart from your hotel in the morning to have city tours to visit the Tiananmen Square, the symbolical heart of China and gathering place for the masses. It is the biggest public square in the world, which can hold one million people. Having a free walk there, imagining the great historic events of the 20th century took place there. You will also see legendary landmarks including the Great Hall of the People and the towering 125 foot granite obelisk, Monument to the Peoples Heroes, honoring those who died in revolution.

Walking across the Golden River Bridge, enter the Forbidden City, the inner sanctum and palace where for centuries Chinese emperors ruled their world. It has 9000-room maze of courtyards, places, and ceremonial halls, where 24 emperors used to live. Forbidden City was indeed a forbidden place, where commoners were kept out for nearly 500 years in the past. Tour the palace and imagine the mystery, intrigue and incredible power that reigned here.

After having lunch at the local restaurant, visit the Temple of Heaven. It was built in the 15th century, a sacred site for ancient Beijing, where the emperor and his 1000 member entourage would retreat twice a year for religious ritual. Surrounded by enormous grounds designed in accordance with fengshui, the Temple complex consists of the Celebrated Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, a unique wooden and blue-tiled structure built without a nail. It is considered the supreme achievement of traditional Chinese architecture.

Day 3: Today we will visit the amazing Badaling Great Wall, Ming Tombs and Sacred Way

Program:

Depart from your hotel after breakfast. Spending about 1.5 hours to be transferred outside city to the surrounding countryside to visit the Badaling Great Wall, one of the most remarkable feats of mankind, built over 2,000 years ago. You will be able to climb and walk one of the best preserved section of the ancient wall, admiring the splendid mountains scenery.
After having lunch at local restaurant, visit the fabled Ming Tombs, the resting places of thirteen emperors and their splendid treasures, passing down the Spirit Way, a road lined with statues of dignitaries, as well as huge elephants, lions, camels and horses, you will encounter the marble tombs of the Ming Dynasty emperors.

Day 4: In the morning we take a tricycle Beijing Hutong tour, and fly to Xian in the afternoon.

Program:

Depart from your hotel after breakfast, visit Hutongs by rickshaw (about 2 hours include taking a rickshaw and visiting some sights), Hutongs are a kind of ancient city alley or lane that is typical in Beijing. Most of them are found around the Forbidden City, and many were built during the three dynasties of Yuan, Ming and Qing. Today, the Hutong is a living museum of Beijing history showing the traditional lifestyle of Beijing people. Tricycles hold two people and peddled by an experienced bicyclist. Stops are made to visit a local family and see first-hand how the people of Beijing live.

After lunch, go to Beijing Airport to take flight to Xian. Xian is one of the most important cities in China s history and nowadays. It was the first Chinese city to open up its doors to the Ancient world during the Tang dynasty when Xian blossomed as the first and important stop on the Silk Road. When arrive Xian, be transfer to your hotel.

Day 5: Today we will discover the history of Xian by visiting Shaanxi Provincial Museum, Big Wild Goose Pagoda,Xian Ancient City Wall.

Program:

After breakfast, visit the Provincial Museum. It is the first-class museum in China. This roomy, modern museum contains over 370,000 relics chronicling Shaanxi civilization and culture from as far as prehistoric times. The collection is strong in ceramics, bronzes, jade pieces, gold and silver items, ancient coins, and calligraphy mainly from the pre-Ming periods.

After lunch, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, one of the main constructions in the famous Buddhist temple-Da-Ci-En Temple is situated at south of the Xian city. The pagoda is one of the most distinctive and outstanding landmarks for Xian.  At last, go to the Xian Ancient City Wall was formally started in the seventh year of Emperor Hongwu reign (1374) and completed in the eleventh year of Hongwu reign (1378). After its completion, the circumference of the city wall was 13.75 kilometers long in an oblong shape. Its height is 12 meters; its top is 12-14 meters wide and its base, 15-18 meters wide.

Day 6: Today's highlight is Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses, besides, we will visit the Bell Tower and Muslim Quarter

Program:

Depart from your hotel after breakfast, after 1 hour driving to surrounding countryside Xianyang to visit Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses. The Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses are the most significant archeological excavations of the20th century. It has been regarded as THE 8TH WONDER OF THE WORLD! Over 2,200 years ago, the first emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang in search of immortality, ordered the construction of a vast army of 8,000 life-sized Terra Cotta warriors and buried with him to protect his empire after his early death. They were discovered accidentally in 1974 by farmers digging a well. For history lovers, the sight is truly breathtaking.
After that, have a tour to Bell Tower, which is the most well-preserved and best-known one among many ancient cities of China. It was originally built in the Yingxiang Temple in 1384, at the intersection of West Street and Guangji Street. Then in 1582, it was moved to its present pivotal position, in the very heart of the city at the junction of four main streets extending to the east, south, west and north, for rebuilding and later restorations. With magnificent carved beams and painted rafters, this classical building is truly elegant.  Further more, we will visit Muslim Quarter in Beiyuanmen near the Bell Tower. It starts from the Drum Tower and ends at the Beiyuanmen, totally 500 meters long. Snack is the main attraction in the street. Most of the Xian characteristic snack especially the Islamic snack can be easily found here. Many of them are very famous at home, and visitors won't miss the snacks when they visit Xian.

Day 7: Be Transfer to Xian Airport for Chongqing,when arrive Chongqing,be pick-up and visit CQ Zoo,Eling Park,Ciqikou Ancient Town,Dock for Yangtze Cruise.

Check out and depart hotel for the flight from Xian to Chongqing, Chongqing is located at the juncture of the Yangtze River and the Jialing River in the southwestern China.
Arrive at Chongqing and be met at the airport, inthe rest of the day, Visit Erling Park, Located on the Eling (Goose Hill), the park used to be an ancient private garden named “Li Garden" made by Mr. Li Yaoting from 1909-1911 A.D. With its good location and beautiful natural scenery, it is one of the best places to have a birds-eye-view of the whole city.

Then pay a visit to the Chongqing Zoo, The zoo is located at the western suburb of the main urban area. Pandas are most popular in the zoo. In the Panda Ground at the foot of a hill and by a little stream, visitors can see charmingly native giant and lesser pandas and their offspring.

As sunset approaches, we stroll along the Ciqikou Ancient Town (old name Longyin Town), which is located 14 KM to the west of Chongqing city. It used to be a very important water and land communication hub in the Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368-1911 A.D). There are more than a hundred tea bars with their own particular characteristics in such a small town. Here friends enjoy a chat or meet to discuss business. You will have opportunity to meet the locals and enjoy the unique folk opera in the tea bars.
After the program, be transfer to Chaotianmen Dock (or other dock in deffrent season) to check-in Yangtze River Cruise.

Day 10: Before we get off the cruise, visit Three Gorges Grand Dam; after arrive Yichang, be transfer to the airport for flight to Shanghai.

Morning visit to the Three Gorges Dam at Sandouping, the largest in the world. Arrives in Yichang and disembark.

After lunch,transfer to Yichang airport for flight to Shanghai. Shanghai tour guide will meet you at the airport and transferred to hotel.

Day 11: Snanghai City tour to The Bund,Jade Buddha Temple,Yuyuan Garden and Shanghai Oriental Pearl TV Tower

After breakfast, be drive to visit The Bund (Waitan): It is one of the most recognizable architectural symbols of Shanghai. It is here where the first British company opened an office in 1846. And Jade Buddha Temple: It is one of the main touristic highlights of Shanghai and it's also the most famous active temples in China. If you're lucky, you can watch the monks serving a cermony in a side room.
after lunch, visit Yuyuan Garden and Market: It is characteristic of the architectural style of the Ming Dynasty and it used to be a private garden with 400 years' history. In front of the garden, there is a market called Yu Market. At last, visit Oriental Pearl TV Tower: Standing by the Huangpu River with 468 meters high, Orental Pearl TV Tower is the highest TV Tower in Asia.
