Day 1: Be welcomed by your guide at airport and transferred to hotel in Urumqi. Enjoy your free time for the rest of day.

Program:

You will be met at the airport in Urumqi by our guide, and driven to your hotel. The rest of the time is free for you to explore the city.

Day 2: Pickup from hotel, after 1.5 hours driving, have a fulll day sightseeing to Heavenly Lake and Heavenly Mountain, return hotel after tour.

Program:

After breakfast, you will head to Heavenly Lake and Heavenly Mountain. It takes about 1.5 hours before arrival at the Heavenly Lake. Then you have to take a shuttle bus and spend another one hour to reach the Lake. Visiting Heavenly Lake by cruise is must-do for tourists. After cruise, do some slight hiking along the lake.
Tip: the temperature at the lake is 6 degrees centigrade lower than the downtown.
-Heaven Lake: Situated in the Tianshan range, 115 km northeast of Urumqi, at an elevation of 1980m, Tianchi Lake is one of the main tourist attractions in China.

Day 3: Check out in the morning, go sighteeing to Hongshan Park, Xinjiang Autonomous Region Museum and Erdaoqiao Bazaar. After tour, fly to Khashgar.

Program:

You will pay a full day visit to Hongshan Park, Xinjiang Autonomous Region Museum and Erdaoqiao Bazaar. As sunset approaches, you will be transferred to the airport and take a flight to Kashgar. Upon your arrival in Kashgar, be met and transferred to your hotel.

-Red Hill (Hong Shan): from Red Hill (Hong Shan), 910 metres or 3,000 feet high, on the east bank of the Urumqi River, there is a panoramic view of the city.
-Xinjiang Autonomous Region Museum: This museum houses an impressive collection of exhibits, covering artifacts and relics from more than 12 minority groups.

Day 4: Early deprt from hotel, drive about 3 hours to Karakuri Lake, hiking along the lake, return kashgar downtown in the afternoon.

Program:

after breakfast, you will head to Karakuri Lake. Three hours later, you will arrive at Karakuri Lake. Surrounded by Mt. Muztagata, Mt. Kongur and Jiubie Peak, the crystalline lake is so fascinating under the blue sky. At the south bank of lake, flocks and herds are roaming at the vast grassland. When you arrive there, you will do some hiking around the lake.

In the late afternoon, return Kashgar.

Day 5: Check out after breakfast, have a full day sightseeing to Fragrant Concubine Tomb, Id Kah Mosque and Sunday Bazaar, fly back to Urumqi after tour.

Program:

You will spend the day touring around the city, including visits to Fragrant Concubine Tomb, Id Kah Mosque, Sunday Bazaar. Then take evening flight back to Urumqi. Upon your arrival in Urumqi, be met and transferred to your hotel.
-Fragrant Concubine Tomb (Xiangfei Tomb): It is a monumental hall, finished in 1640, with a large dome of dazzling glazed green tiles.
-Id Kah Mosque: This mosque, the largest one in China, can accommodate 20,000 people, and almost certainly the most active, in the country. You can even hear the call to prayer booming around the city center-a rare sound in China.
-Sunday Bazaar: Once a week, Kashgar’s population sells by 50,000 as people from across the area stream into the Sunday morning bazaar. On Sundays, thousands of farmers driving carts flock from the countryside to the great Kashgar bazaar around Aizilaiti Lu, east of the Tuman River.

Day 6: Check out and depart from hotel in the morning, be transferred to Turpan by private vehicle, go sightseeing to Nanshan Grassland on the way.

Program: After an early breakfast, we set off for Nanshan Grassland (White Poplar Gully). We will then head to Turpan by private vehicle, which takes about 3 hours driving.
Nanshan Grassland (White Poplar Gully): Screened by snow-capped peaks and dotted with tall and straight dragon spruce trees, it is an ideal place to have an excursion.

Day 7: Full-day Turpan highlights tour: Jiaohe (Yarkhoto )Ruins, Flaming Mountains, Ancient Astana Tombs, Grape Valley, Emin Minaret.

Program:

In the morning, you will visit the most well-known landmark of Turpan, Jiaohe (Yarkhoto )Ruins, Flame Mountain, Astana Tombs, Karez Wells, Grape Valley and Emin Minaret (Emin Ta).

-Jiaohe (Yarkhoto)Ruins: Located in the Yarnaz Valley 13 kilometers (8 miles) west of Turpan Jiaohe was used to be the capital of the State of South Cheshi, one of the 31 states in the Western Region.
-Astana Tombs: These graves lie 40 kilometers (25 miles) southeast of Turpan, 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) from the ancient city of Gaochang. The kings of Gaochang and noble officials were buried here. The tombs have been blessed with centuries of dry weather.
-Karez Wells: Karez is a massive underground network of tunnels, which was put into use in the last 20 centuries. The ancient Karez system is comprised of a series of wells and linking underground channels that uses gravity to bring ground water to the surface, usually far from the source.
-Grape Valley (Putao Gou): At the western base of Flaming Mountains, there is a well-known vineyards and fruit trees - Grape Valley. The grapes are dried in hundreds of ingenious outbuildings ventilated by the open brickwork of their walls, creating the sweet raisins for which Turpan is renowned.

Day 8: Check out and take a bullet train to Dunhuang. Be met at Liuyuan and transferred to hotel in Dunhuang, then visit Mingsha Hill and Crescent Lake

Program: check out in the morning, your guide will transfer you to the station and take a bullet train to Dunhuang. Upon your arrival at Liuyuan Station, your guide will meet you here and transfer you to your hotel. After check in, have a visit to Mingsha Hill and Crescent Lake. Watching the sunset via camel ride is highly recommended. At night, enjoy yourself exploring the Shazhou Night Market.
-Mingsha Hill: Mingsha Hill offers the best picture-book desert scenery that travelers are likely to see along the entire length of the Silk Road.
-Crescent Lake: Yueya Spring is near the northern foot of Mingsha Hill in the southern suburbs of Dunhuang City. It is shaped like a crescent moon, and its clear water is surrounded by grass.

Day 9: One-day Western Dunhuang tour: Yumenguan, the Great Wall in Han Dynasty, The Hecang Fortress and Yang Gate.

Program:

You will start the day with a visit to Yumenguan, the Great Wall in Han Dynasty, The Hecang Fortress and Yang Gate.

-The Hecang Fortress: hidden in the Gobi Desert twenty kilometers from Yumenguan Pass at the west, was originally the important quartermaster depot.
-Yumenguan: Yumenguan lies about 80 kilometers (50 miles) northwest of Dunhuang. Its name came from the fact that jade from Hotan in Xinjiang entered Central China through this pass.
-Yangguan: Yangguan lies 75 kilometers (47 miles) southwest of Dunhuang but consists of only the ruins of a high beacon tower. It’s named Yangguan because it borders the southern part of Yumenguan Pass.

Day 10: Check out and have a morning visit to Mogao Cave. After lunch, be transferred to Jiayuguan. Overnight stay there.

Program:

check out in the morning, have a half day tour to Mogao Grottoes. Morning is the best time to see the miraculous Grottoes if weather permits. Owing to its location, you can have a better view with the sunlight in the morning. Before entering the grottoes, you’ll see two movies about the history and introduction about the closed grottoes. Then take a shuttle bus to visit Mogao Grottoes.

After lunch, you will head to Jiayuguan. It takes about 4 hours.

-Mogao Grottoes: In China, it is one of the three famous rock grottoes and regarded as a storehouse of the Buddhist art in the world.

Day 11: Check out and go sightseeing to Jiayuguan Pass, Overhanging Great Wall and Wei Jin Tombs. After tour, take a bullet train to Lanzhou.

Program:

check out in the morning, you will go sightseeing to Jiayuguan Pass, Overhanging Great Wall and Wei Jin Tombs. After visit, you will take a bullet train to Lanzhou. Upon arrival at Lanzhou, be met and transferred to your hotel.

-Jiayuguan Pass: This is the most impressive site in the Hexi Corridor because it is the western ending point of the Great Wall.
-Overhanging Great Wall: from the upper tower high on a ridge you get a sweeping view of the desert, the oasis of Jiayuguan and the glittering snow-capped peaks in the distance.
-Wei Jin Tombs: Wei Jin Tombs locates in the desert 20km east of Jiayuguan, but only one is currently open to tourists. This place consists of ancient tombs with original wall paintings.

Day 12: Drive about 2 hours to Liujiaxia and take a cruise to visit to Bingling Temple Grottoes and Liujiaxia.

you will have breakfast and then take a full day tour to visit Bingling Temple Grottoes and Liujiaxia.

-Bingling Temple Grottoes: Located 75km south-west of Lanzhou, Binglingsi is an important Buddhist cave complex dating from the 5th century and one of the most unusual sights in Gunsu.

Day 13: Check out in the morning, drive about 4 hours to Xiahe. Upon arrival, go sightseeing to Sangke Grassland. Stay overnight at Xiahe.

Program:

check out in the morning, you will head to Xiahe. 4 hours later, arriving at Xiahe, check in the hotel. After short rest, be transferred to Sangke Grassland. Located at 15 kilometers(9.5 miles) away from Xiahe downtown, flocks of sheep and horses are ranging over this grassland. In summer, under the crystal sky, wildflowers are in full blossom at the greenest pastures. Wandering or horse riding at this vast grassland is relaxed and comfortable. Besides the attractive scenery, you can taste the local Qingke Wine and experience the Tibetan culture.

Day 14: Moring visit to Labrang Monastery, return Lanzhou after lunch (or fly to Xian from Xiahe)..

Program:

check out in the morning, you will have to visit to Labrang Monastery. Before entering the lamasery, you will have a panorama view of the lamasery at the Thangka Display Terrace. After lunch, return Lanzhou (or be drived to Xiahe Airport for flight from Xiahe to Xian).
-Labrang Monastery (LABULENG SI): It is one of the six largest religious temples of the Gelug Sect of China s Lamaism, second only to Potala Palace in Lhasa at Tibet. The lamasery covers 202 acres and has more than 10,000 halls and accommodates over 3,000 lamas.

After breakfast, you will be met in the lobby and drive to the airport to take a short flight to Xian. Upon your arrival in Xian, you will be greeted warmly by our guide and visit the City Wall, Bell Tower and Shaanxi History Museum.

-The Bell Tower: The emblem of Xian city.

-The Wild Goose Pagoda: The pagoda where widely renowned Master Xuanzang (Monk Tripitaka) stored his classics brought from India.
