Day 1 Arrive in Xian (Meals: -/-/-)
You will be met at the airport in Xian by our Discoverchinatours guide, and driven to your hotel. The rest of the time is free for you to explore the city.
Day 2 Xian (Meals: B/L/-)
Sightseeing: Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses / Wild Goose Pagoda
In the morning, we visit the most well-known landmark of Xian, Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses and Big Wild Goose Pagoda.
The Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses: The greatest archaeological findings of the century: the army of Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses and the bronze chariots entombed in vast underground vaults at emperor Qin´s tomb.
The Wild Goose Pagoda: The pagoda where widely renowned Master Xuanzang (Monk Tripitaka) stored his classics brought from India.
Day 3 Xian Lanzhou (Meals: B/L/-)
Sightseeing: The Ancient City Wall / Bell Tower / Shaanxi Provincial Museum
You will spend half day touring around the city, including visits to the Ancient City Wall, Bell Tower and Provincial Museum. After lunch, you take a short drive to the airport to Lanzhou. Upon arrival in Lanzhou, you are greeted by our guide and transferred to your hotel. Feel free at leisure to explore the city and have dinner at your own arrangement.
The Ancient City Wall: An extension of the old Tang Dynasty structure boasting the most complete city wall that survives through Chinese long history.
The Bell Tower: The emblem of Xian city.
Shaanxi Provincial Museum: One of the main museums in China which holds numerous unearthed cultural relics of China.
Day 4 Lanzhou (Meals: B/L/-)
Sightseeing: Bingling Si / Gansu Provincial Museum
Take a full day tour to visit Binglin Si and Gansu Provincial Museum.
Bingling Si: Located 75km south-west of Lanzhou, Binglingsi is an important Buddhist cave complex dating from the 5th century and one of the most unusual sights in Gunsu.
Gansu Provincial Museum: It has interesting collection, including an outstanding Tang Dynasty Warrior made from earth ware and the bronze Flying horse of Wuwei, 2000 years old and still with its accompanying procession of horses and chariots.
Day 5 Lanzhou - Xiahe via bus(Meals: B/L/-)
Sightseeing: Labrang Lamasery
In the morning, we spend 4 hours on bus driving into Xiahe, then stroll along Labrang Lamasery.Please note that Xiahe(Labrang Lamasery) is inaccessible now.And the reopening time has not been informed. Please contact our consultant for further tour proposal. Thank you!
Labrang Lamasery (LABULENG SI): It is one of the six largest religious temples of the Gelug Sect of China s Lamaism, second only to Potala Palace in Lhasa at Tibet. The lamasery covers 202 acres and has more than 10,000 halls and accommodates over 3,000 lamas.
Day 6 Xiahe-Lanzhou via bus (Meals: B/L/-)
Sightseeing: Wuquan Park / White Pagoda Hill
You will be met and start early this morning back to Lanzhou. After sampling some delicious local specialties for lunch, you will go to visit Wuquan Park and White Pagoda Hill in Lanzhou city.
Wuquan Park: Located at the northern foot of Gaolan Mountain in Lanzhou, Five-Spring Mountain is 5,250 feet above sea level. It was so named because there are five springs in the mountain.
White Pagoda Hill: On the top of the hill is Baita Si (White Pagoda temple), which was built during Yuan dynasty, you can get a good view across the city.
Day 7 Lanzhou to Next City (Meals: B/-/-)
Be transferred to the airport for the flight to next destination.
