Originally built during the reign of Empress Wu Zetian in the Tang Dynasty, Pujiu Temple is renowned as the setting of The Romance of the West Chamber (Xi Xiang Ji), one of China’s greatest classical dramas. 4. Mahavira Hall (Hall of the Great Hero)
The main hall enshrining a statue of Shakyamuni Buddha. Inside, exquisite murals depict Buddhist stories, offering insight into Buddhist culture and traditional mural art.

5. Bodhisattva Cave
A natural limestone cave housing a statue of Guanyin (the Bodhisattva of Compassion). Filled with incense and devotion, it is a popular place for prayers and blessings, reflecting Guanyin’s mercy and wisdom.
