Dear Wenny;

First I need to thank you for our vacation!

Your responses to my emails and individual requests were so timely that I soon developed a trust in you - it is rather scary to send off almost $8,000 without anything but I am so happy we did.

What a luxury - to wake up in a good hotel (for value) and each morning be met by a guide and driver  - that took here and there to the best of what China had to offer.

All of our guides (with the exception of Beijing - yes both times) were concerned, pro-active, interesting and informative.  They worked long hours and knew their stuff - also with endearing personalities.

The hotels were good value.

THe lunches turned out to be great and easy and there for us - i.e. no wasted time looking for a decent restaurant and really not knowing anywhere.

A car & driver is an absolute must.  We saved 50% of the time or more having someone there getting us from one site to the other.  We both believe that a trip like that would have taken a month's of research and hassle and twice ss long to complete.

Wenny, you may edit this email and use what you want but here are a few notes:

1.  As Ben said, no city needs more than 3 days - including Beijing - so much to be seen in the rest of Chinas. 

2.  The many Temples with the 1,000 Buddhas are interesting once but since most of your visitors are not Buddhist, the names etc became lost.

3.  Kunming had really nothing to the tourist to offer and if possible no need to visit.  I know it is an exciting developing commerce center for southern China - but  not interesting except for stone forest.

 

Wenny the trip was great.

The price was fair and maybe even a deal (did not research that more)!  There is no way we could have seen so much and with such little worry or difficulty.  I would not have known where to begin.
