What a memorable time we had there

Dear Sally,
My son and I arrived home from China this morning and what a memorable time we had there thanks to the wonderful organisation provided by your company. The sites and sights were in all instances better than we had anticipated and the scale on which things are built and organised in your country is simply mind-boggling. The tour itself gave us a very good idea of what conditions would have been like for those who lived in the far-flung towns along the route as well as how difficult it would have been for the traders who made the hazardous journey to the west. We encountered sandstorms, rain in areas that were supposed to be dry throughout the year, winds of incredible strength, beautiful sunny days and were amazed at how people survived in the hostile Gobi Desert. We did the trip staying in superb 4 and 5 star hotels. Goodness knows what it must have been like for the pioneers along
the Silk Road.
We were always met on time wherever we changed guides, the drivers were expert in the often chaotic traffic of China, our guides were friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming, our accommodation was well chosen, the meals were fantastic and the ambience created by the combination of all these factors made for an unforgettable and relaxed experience. Even the
overnight train trips were an added adventure, a look at life in China on a different level.
Thank you for organising it all so expertly. To say that one recommends something wholeheartedly has become a bit of a cliché but my son and I unreservedly do so for this trip we have just enjoyed. The organisation and cooperation with you in the months prior to the trip were prompt and cheerfully efficient and nothing was left to chance on the journey. Thank you for all your help and should you wish to use this letter as a recommendation for your organisation please feel free to do so.
I will be back in China again at some stage, health willing. Your country fascinates me. If and when plans are hatched for the next trip you will be the first to know.
Thanks once again.
All the best,
Howard Baker
