Shopping: the Aidlis Silk and the Uygur life things, the apricot

Located in Xinjiang Uyghur autonomous region, Kucha has various Uyghur specialties such as Adilis Silk, carpets, Uyghur hat and other handicrafts.
Besides ethnic handicrafts, the most famous specialty in Kucha is apricot which is one of the top three fruits in Xinjiang equal to Hami sweet watermelon and Turpan grape. The ripe season of apricot is in June and July. If you happen to travel Kucha in that period, you can taste the juicy and sweet fresh apricots. If you are visiting Kucha in other time, please do not be regret, you can take dried apricots and apricot kernel in most markets or specialty shops in Kucha which is famous for its nice fragrant, good brand of Xijiang.
