Canoe Festival
On every May in Chinese lunar calendar, there is a grand mass held by Miao people along Qingshui River, which is Canoe Festival. The festival has been long history but could not be able to describe the specific time because there is no written records in Miao history.
Time: 25th May to 27th May in Chinese lunar calendar
Place:Qingshui River in Zhenyuan
 
Dragon Boat Festival
Dragon Boat Festival is wide-celebrated around China not only Han people, but also minority such as Miao and Dong. During the festival, boat racing is one of the main activities. Besides, dragon worship ritual and parade, dancing and singing performance and other water items are also held. On the day, people is gathering on banks of Wuyang River and ancient streets in Zhenyuan town; the scene is extremely abustle and astir.
Time: annual 5th May in Chinese lunar calendar
Place: Zhenyuan ancient town

Chixin Festival on Double Sixth
Chixin Festival on double sixth is a ceremonious traditional celebration of Miao people. Singing performance is routine item of the festival. Besides ethnic song, you can also admire ethnic dance, horse racing performance. The unique feature of Chixin Festival is five-colored sticky rice which also called in “Wu Rice” in colors of red, yellow, purple, black and white.
Time: 6th June in Chinese lunar calendar
